Capsicum & Chilli Ham
Capsicum & Chilli Ham, delivers a flavoursome twist to the classic baked ham.
Pukara Estate Capsicum & Chilli Jam
1/3 cup of Brown Sugar
4kg Half Leg of Smoked Ham
1/3 cup of water
Pre-heat the oven to 150°c
Remove the layer of skin off the ham (leaving the fat)
Score the fat into 3cm squares across the entire half leg
In each square stick a clove, piercing the fat and the meat underneath
Place a pot on the stove on medium heat, in the pot add a whole jar of Pukara Estate Capsicum & Chilli Jam, 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 1/3 cup of water
Gently bring to a boil and transfer to a blender and blend until smooth
Transfer back into a bowl and baste the entire ham with the sauce.
Place in oven for 80 minutes – basting the ham every 25 minutes with the sauce.
Remove from the oven and serve!
